What information about you do we collect?

When you purchase some of our products, notably e-Lybra® and Computer Clear® Subscriber Edition, your personal details are stored on our website. The usage to which this data is put varies for each product (see below) but a common factor is the ability to contact you, either via email or by the conventional postal service.

The data collected about you comprises your name, address, telephone numbers, email address, website URL, and a free-format notes section. Once your logon credentials have been verified you have access to a web page which will allow you to edit your own details to ensure that they are correct and up to date.

In the event of customers who have declared themselves to be practitioners, a facility mainly introduced for the benefit of e-Lybra owners, we retain the list of therapies that you have indicated to be offering (via your profile edit form). We also store the products that you have purchased from us, and the reseller through which you purchased the product(s).

What we do with your information

When you supply any personal information to WDS we have legal obligations towards you in the way that we share and process the data. WDS has made reasonable efforts to ensure that the contents of this website are correct. At present, the reasons we store your information are:

i) To contact you by email (preferably) or by postal mail to advise you of news likely to be of interest to WDS customers, and to make available software updates.

ii) In cases where you have given your consent to make your details available to other WDS customers and potential customers.

Except in relation to point (ii) above, your information will never be passed to anybody outside WDS without first obtaining your consent, unless we are obliged by law to disclose it. We will hold your personal information on our system for as long as you use our services, and will remove it in the event that you no longer wish to continue your registration as a personalised user. In exceptional circumstances we may disable or close completely an individual account at our discretion if the person concerned has been acting in a manner to inconvenience WDS or other customers, or which is likely to bring WDS into disrepute.

We intend to send out occasional newsletters to customers in order to provide notification about forthcoming products and enhancements, as well as to provide information that is likely to be of direct interest to customers. In order to be a recipient of these newsletters you must 'opt in' to this service by selecting your preference in the 'Edit My Details' section of the WDS website.

Notes for e-Lybra® users
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
e-Lybra user data is also intended to be shared with other e-Lybra® users in a private area of the website which will only be available to registered e-Lybra® owners. This sharing of data is a requested feature to help create a community of users. By default e-Lybra® users have access to the details of other users, but this can be disabled through the 'Edit My Details' section.

Notes for Computer Clear® Subscriber Edition users
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The Computer Clear® Subscriber Edition software is purchased online, and therefore permission for us to store your information electronically is implicit in the nature of the transaction. As well as creating a customer account we also track details concerning the activation and deactivation of license keys.
